Meredith - our "why."

 

As you all know, her entrance into the world 13 years ago rocked ours, in so many unexpected ways. If not for the lifesaving research that AHA funding supports, we wouldn't be able to experience the joys of having a daughter at this age! (Yes, she's angsty and awful one moment and as sweet and considerate as a person can be the next.)

 

This past year Meredith began her foray into high school marching band as a member of the production crew. She loved every second and can't wait to march her clarinet next year as an 8th grader. She is currently loving winter guard and keeps us busy between her activity and social calendars. We are so proud of her and so fortunate to watch her grow into a young lady.

 

As each of our kids have, Meredith has given us more joy than we can possibly convey. We use this time to celebrate Meredith's milestones each year but it is also an annual reminder that the story could have been different for us. We hope you will join us to walk, to celebrate and to support the ongoing research that development that helps Meredith and others with congenital heart disease survive and thrive!
