Hello my name Monique Jones and I am a Heart Transplant Survivor
I participate in the American Heart Association Heart Walk because heart health is more than a cause to me—it is my life story. For over seven years, I have walked to raise awareness, honor my journey, and encourage others to take their heart health seriously.
I am a heart transplant recipient, and I know firsthand how quickly life can change when your heart is in trouble. My journey has taken me through heart failure, an LVAD, and ultimately a heart transplant. Today, I am blessed to be living with a second chance at life, and I don’t take that gift for granted.
I walk because I want my story to inspire others to be proactive about their heart health, recognize the warning signs, and understand that there is hope even during the most difficult moments.
Every step I take is a step of gratitude—for life, for my family, for the people who stood beside me, and for the gift of a new heart from my donor Delaney. I will continue to walk, share my story, and help make a difference in the fight against heart disease.
But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease and stroke. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
