2026 Metro Chicago Heart Walk
Long Live T.J.
Please help save lives in memory of T.J. Hines
My son TJ passed away suddenly at the age of 20 from Left Ventricular Hypertrophy or LVN. He was also born with a hole in his heart either VSD or ASD and had to have open heart surgery at 6 months old. He was a fighter .
I’ve been wanting to get involved with the American Heart Association for quite some time now but in my mental state, I have not been able to read about, think about or even watch commercials about heart disease. But I am ready now so I’m looking for Team Mates to join me in walking the Chicago Heart Walk on Friday, September 18th! (Location and time are yet to be determined)
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Join our team today or support by donating towards our fundraising goal.
