Team Gaby,

This year's Heart Walk theme is Rocky, and I can't think of a better reminder of what we've all learned since losing Gaby.

Rocky wasn't the strongest fighter. He wasn't the fastest. What made him special was that he kept getting back up.

The past year has been a lot like that for our family. There have been days when grief knocked us down. Days when getting through the day felt like a victory. But every time we've gotten back up, we've done it because of the love we carry for Gaby.

VERY IMPORTANT! We are doing the Norh Shore Heart Walk on Sunday, Sept 20 in Northfield, IL. Location TBD. We are planning and preparing to tackle the 3-mile walk option for this year.

On walk day, we're not just honoring her memory. We're celebrating her life, her spirit, and the impact she continues to have on so many people. Every step we take is a reminder that love doesn't stop when a heartbeat does.

So lace up your shoes, channel your inner Rocky, and let's go the distance for Gaby.
