2026 Metro Chicago Heart Walk
Cardiac Crew Connected
Mark Gonzalez, Mike Tannura, and I are once again leading a team for the 2026 Metro Chicago Heart Walk in support of the American Heart Association on Friday, September 18, 2026.
For the past nine years, I have proudly participated in this inspiring event at Soldier Field. This cause is especially close to my heart. I walk in support of my father, Jose Torres, who suffered a stroke in 2019, and in honor and memory of my grandmother, Guadalupe Torres, and my uncle, Alberto Magana. I also walk for my uncles Antonio Cisneros, Fonfo Carranza, and Fidencio Farias, who each battled serious heart conditions. Their strength and resilience inspire me to support the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association and help others facing similar challenges.
Every step we take and every dollar raised helps advance lifesaving research, education, and treatment. Thanks to support from events like the Heart Walk, medical breakthroughs such as pacemakers, cardiac stents, and artificial heart valves have given countless individuals more precious time with their families and loved ones. Together, we can help make the next breakthrough possible.
We would be grateful for your support, whether by joining our team, Cardio Crew Connected, or making a donation. If you're unable to join us at Soldier Field, you can still take part by walking in your local park, around your neighborhood, or wherever you choose to support the cause. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference. Your support truly matters, and together we can help save lives.
With Gratitude,
Jose Alberto Torres
