Walking for Anita, Rocky, and My Family
This year, I'm participating in the Heart Walk in memory of Anita Elena Vohar and in honor of several people I love whose lives have been touched by heart disease and stroke.
Anita passed away in October 2024 at just 52 years old, but her kindness, compassion, and love continue to live on in the people she touched.
I'm also walking for Rocky Martin, whose recovery after two strokes is a testament to strength, determination, and never giving up. His journey reminds me why supporting heart and stroke research matters.
This cause is especially meaningful to me because it has affected my own family. I walk for my mum, my dad, and my uncle Antonio, whose experiences have given me a firsthand understanding of how heart disease and stroke impact not just individuals, but the people who love them.
Every step I take is for Anita, Rocky, my family, and the millions of others impacted by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Thank you for helping support research, education, and lifesaving care for those who need it most.
