I joined #TEAMEMERSEN to show support for Emersen and her family, who over the last 19 years have become, to me, like family. She just recently found out that I was the “Santa” who wrote her Christmas Eve notes for many years.

If you don’t know Emersen, she has been living with heart issues since December 2019, including 4 open heart surgeries. The most recent one being just a few weeks ago.

Also, I had the privilege and honor of being a member of her Auntie’s wedding party in 2022 and being processional partners with her. The profile photo here shows that. What it doesn’t show is the reason I wore sunglasses.  To help hide my tears of joy that she was healthy enough to take that walk down the aisle and be in the wedding.
