At age 49, I suffered a Type A Aortic Dissection. I immediately went through emergency open heart surgery to graft my aortic arch. 18 months later I had a second open heart surgery to place a longer graft and replace my aortic valve with a mechanical valve. Dr Matthew Henn and his team at the Ross Heart Hospital have kept a close eye on me to help me maintain my cardiovascular health.
