This year marks our third year participating in the Sioux Falls Heart Walk in memory of my brother, Deryk.

Deryk was born with a congenital heart defect and passed away far too soon at the age of 28. While we are incredibly grateful for the doctors, research, and care that gave us 28 years with him, we know there is still more work to be done for children and families facing similar heart conditions.

What began as a way to honor Deryk's memory has become a cause that means so much to our family. Every donation helps fund research, treatments, and advancements that give children born with congenital heart defects a better chance at living longer, healthier lives.
