2026 Sioux Falls Heart Walk
Jenna's Racing Heart
Heart disease doesn’t always look the way people expect—and for our family, it’s deeply personal.
In the spring of 2022, Jenna went through months of testing, searching for answers to what was happening with her body. After a long and uncertain journey, she was diagnosed with sinus tachycardia.
While Jenna now takes medication to help manage her condition, it’s still something she faces every day. She continues to experience episodes where her heart races unexpectedly. Even at rest, her heart rate can climb into the upper 170s—and with activity, it can exceed 200 beats per minute.
Watching someone you love go through that is both frightening and humbling.
Jenna is strong, resilient, and inspiring through it all—but her experience is a powerful reminder of why heart health matters and why research is so important.
She is why we walk.
We walk to support lifesaving research.
We walk to raise awareness.
We walk in hope—for better treatments, better outcomes, and healthier futures for people like Jenna.
If you’re able, we would be so grateful for your support—whether by donating, joining our team, or sharing our story. Every step and every dollar brings us closer to a world where heart conditions like Jenna’s are better understood and more easily treated.
Thank you for supporting Jenna’s Racing Heart.
