I walk because I know women are underrepresented in medical research and the American Heart Association is working to change that.
Everyone is affected by heart disease or stroke as it is the leading cause of death in the U.S.
I work to pass legislation that promotes public health and research. This year as we continue to celebrate the $2 increase in tobacco taxes, saving the legislation that requires of every school to have AEDs and a predetermined response plan for every venue, and foster care leave for state employees, there is much more work to be done. Moving forward we will continue our efforts that ensure kids are receiving healthy meals at school with adequate time to eat them, access to health care for everyone is attainable, maternal health remains top of mind before and after a baby is born, communities create & build safe environments that promote active living, and stay vigilant about tobacco and vaping smoke free air laws.
I walk and ask you to join me because the money donated helps fund my work to keep the health of all Hoosiers in policy discussions at the state and local levels.
While I would love each of you to join my team, I know that isn't possible for everyone. But you can support my efforts through a donation. Every cent matters and yours can make a difference for so many.
Thanks,
Chris
