I have signed up to raise funds for the last 5 years for American Heart Association. This year is especially meaningful to me. In the past I have wanted to honor my mom after she had strokes that were related to a glioblastoma tumor. While the stroke was not a primary diagnosis, I still believe research can help those affected live better lives. 

 

Last Summer, I found out my daughter has a heart condition, Wolff-Parkinson-White. This puts her at risk of several problems, however, there is a curative procedure she will be having this Summer. Thanks to heart research, this is not something she will have to live with the rest of her life.
