In just 11 days, I’ll be taking part in the American Heart Association Heart Walk in Cleveland.
This one is very personal for me.
I have a pacemaker helping keep my own heart going, so I know firsthand how important advances in heart care can be. And just a few months ago, I lost my wife, Mary, to a heart attack.
I’m walking for her. â¤ï¸
I’m walking with gratitude for the care that has helped me.
And I’m walking in hope that the research and education supported by the American Heart Association will help other families have more time with the people they love.
If you would like to support my walk, I have a fundraising page where you can make a donation. Any amount is appreciated, and sharing this post would mean a lot too.
â¤ï¸ In memory of Mary, and for all the hearts still beating.
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Help me reach my goal today!
