Behind every hard hat is a heartbeat. Behind every project is a person.

 This year, our Schaefer Louisville and Tampa teams are coming together to support the American Heart Association Heart Walks in Kentuckiana (September 12th) and Tampa Bay (November 14th)—a cause that hits close to home for our industry and our Schaefer family.  Construction is a demanding industry, and we believe in looking out for one another both on and off the jobsite. Through our One Schaefer commitment, we support our employees, strengthen our communities, and show up for each other when it matters most.

 This year’s walk is especially meaningful as we walk in memory of Dave Fleming, who passed away after suffering a heart attack last October. Dave was a valued member of the Schaefer team for 10 years—an exceptional craftsman, a dedicated teammate, and a truly wonderful person who left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

 We walk in Dave’s honor and in support of the many families affected by heart disease. Together, we can raise awareness, encourage healthier choices, and help fund lifesaving research and education.
