Family & Friends,
It is Heart Walk season again! We are grateful for another year of good health and another opportunity to show our support for the American Heart Association, which holds such a special place in our family’s history. Hoping that this message finds you happy, healthy, and grateful for the things that are dear to YOUR heart!
The “children” in our family continue to live at a distance that makes it easy to visit, which we appreciate. It also makes it feasible to still get everyone together in one place on a regular basis. Charlie is living in Madison; Kirsten and Danielle live in Beaver Dam; and Amelia is about to start her senior year at UW-La Crosse.
It has been another quiet year medically speaking. Danielle and Amelia are both due for a 5-year check-up with cardiology in 2027; and Danielle is due for a 3-year check-up with her neurosurgeon in 2027. What a wonderful blessing that their routine appointments are needed so infrequently, due to how well they are doing!
As part of celebrating their continued peaceful medical status, as well as expressing gratitude for how many resources have been available to our girls in order to reach that point, we continue to support the American Heart Association. We ask you to consider making a donation in honor of Danielle and Amelia, or in honor of anyone in your own lives who is also benefiting from the amazing work the AHA does. We are participating in the 2026 Madison Area Heart Walk on Saturday, September 26. We will be walking with the UW-Health Congenital Heart Warriors Team as we participate in this event for our 24th year.
As has been the pattern, our friends and family showed us amazing support in 2025, donating $6753.27 and bringing our 23-year total to $77978.81! THANK YOU never seems like enough!! As we continue to rely on that support, we have set this year’s goal at $7200! Please consider helping us reach this goal!
