Literally in a SINGLE Heartbeat YOU Can Make a Difference!

I was on an ariplane when I had my heart attack! Many people took action and my life was saved due to actions taken by so many including the flight attendant and pilots on the airplane, the emergency team at the airport, the Oak Creek Fire Department and EMT's & Paramedics and so many others at St Lukes Hospital.

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. One of the missions is to grow the number of people who know CPR so we can SAVE more lives!

Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.   

I walk so we can continue to grow knowledge around life saving measures, even in the simplest form and to SAVE more lives. I am here today in large part due to those measures but also the Stents in my heart were developed with funding assistance through donations from events like the Heart Walk.
