This Heart Walk is deeply personal to me.
I am walking in memory of my mother, who passed away after suffering from strokes. Losing her showed me firsthand the devastating impact that stroke can have—not only on the person experiencing it, but also on the family and loved ones surrounding them.
I am also walking in honor of my father, who lives with heart disease. His journey is a constant reminder that heart disease affects real people and real families every day. It is also a reminder of why awareness, prevention, education, and continued research are so important.
Through my work with Healthline First Aid, I have dedicated myself to helping people develop the skills and confidence to respond during emergencies. Every CPR, first aid, and AED class we teach has the potential to make a difference when someone’s life is on the line. For me, this work is more than a profession—it is connected to the people I love and the experiences that have shaped my life.
I am walking for my mother, for my father, and for every family affected by heart disease and stroke. I am walking in hope that fewer families will experience the pain of losing someone they love and that more people will have the opportunity to live longer, healthier lives.
Please consider supporting my Heart Walk journey by donating, sharing my story, or walking alongside me. Every step and every contribution can help make a difference.
I walk in memory. I walk in honor. I walk with hope.
