If you've ever experienced or been around someone that has experienced a cardiac emergency you understand how scary that event can be. How powerless it can make you feel. On top of that, if you are so fortunate as to survive, you have to deal with the mental repercussions of your body betraying you. This is scary. A cardiac emergency steals certainty. It makes people feel powerless in their own body.
