When kids play sports, they play with their hearts.  Unfortunately, for some kids, they may literally play their heart out.  This team was formed so that we can help bring awareness around Sudden Cardiac Arrest in young athletes.

• The occurrence of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in athletes is reported anywhere from 1:25,000 to 1:300,000. And it strikes more than 1,000 people outside hospitals (including about 16 youths <18 years old) every day in the U.S.—and most victims die.
• Bystander CPR can double or even triple the chances of survival.

As someone who personally knows the importance of bystander CPR and the use of an AED, I invite you to join this team and support the American Heart Association. The AHA provides classes to the community to teach them the life-saving skills of CPR and how to use an AED.
