2022 Twin Cities Heart Walk
Healing Our Hearts One Step At a Time
We’re walking in memory of our husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, Chuck. Although he was a seemingly healthy and active man, Chuck passed away unexpectedly in January of 2019, surrounded by family, after suffering a massive heart attack frequently referred to as the "widow maker." With this type of heart attack, the left anterior descending artery (LAD) is totally or nearly 100% blocked. It can happen quite suddenly and have devastating effects, like it did for Chuck.
Chuck was the most selfless man you'd ever meet and would do anything to help not only his family and friends but also any stranger he encountered. Our hearts are still healing, but we walk to honor Chuck's legacy, to raise awareness, to educate others and to raise funds for further research related to heart disease. We walk for our health and yours. Who will you walk for?
