I walk in memory of my grandson Colt. He was born with TAVPR, a birth defect of the heart in which the veins bringing blood back from the lungs pulmonary veins) don’t connect to the left atrium like usual. Instead they go to the heart by way of an abnormal (anomalous) connection. The wonderful team at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital gave him a fighting chance but there was damage to more than his heart since the rest of his body was being cheated of full oxygenated blood and his little body couldn't recover from the damage. We lost him when he was 11 weeks old.
My profile picture shows my tatoos of my grandchildrens names. Colts has the hearts on each side to show that he is loved but he lost the battle to heart disease.
