As you all may know by now, Jaxon was born with Ebstein's Anomaly. It is one of the more rare forms of congenital heart defects (CHD) To look at him you could never tell that he has this disability. At the moment, he is doing well, but he will have limitations as he gets older and more active.
Last year, his cardiologist mentioned "the s word"... surgery. So fast forward to now... that surgery is right around the corner [timewise] but will take place more than 900 miles away [distance wise] at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Jaxon will be having the GOLD STANDARD for patients with Ebstein's... the Cone Procedure will be performed at the skilled hands of none other than Dr, Jose da Silva, THE pioneer of this remarkable surgery that so greatly improves the quality of life for those with this form of CHD.
Without funds, his and all the other doctors would never be able to do research or learn how to help Jaxon and all the other babies born with various CHDs.
