I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
In 1965 Dr. Helen Taussig became the first woman president of the American Heart
Association. Taussig is considered the founder of pediatric cardiology, and with surgeon
Dr. Alfred Blalock and laboratory technician Vivien Thomas, pioneered the "blue baby"
operation that helped establish the field of pediatric cardiac surgery.
The work Dr. Taussig in blazing the trail of pediatric cardiology my two cousins, Julia and Neal Perok, would not be here. Please join me supporting new research and innovation in the pediatric cardiology field.
Love,
Bryce
