Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and one of the top contributors to disability in adulthood.  We walk to change this.

 

Stroke happens at work, in homes, and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.

 

It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in recognizing stroke signs and symptoms and knowing what to do, more research on primary and secondary prevention of stroke, more lifesaving moments for everyone.

And remember, sudden symtpoms such as :

B - balance difficulty

E - eye problems (trouble seeing suddenly)

F - facial droop on one side

A - arm or leg weakness

S - speech problems (trouble speaking, understanding, or slurring)

T - time to call 9-1-1 for any one of these sudden symptoms!
