Our son, Mason, was born with a congenital heart defect. Throughout his journey, he has undergone two successful open-heart surgeries, along with several other visits to Riley Children’s Hospital. Earlier this year, Mason was diagnosed with endocarditis, making this year’s walk especially meaningful to our family.

There is hope for Mason—and for every child born with a congenital heart defect. Researchers continue to make incredible progress toward better heart valves, improved surgical techniques, and innovative procedures that may one day help regenerate heart muscle.
