My folks are why! Join me in supporting the American Heart & Stroke Association!
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking.
Dad's story:: One of the characteristics of Parkinson's Disease - which limited Dad's last 17 years - is that it leaves your body less able to ward off disease elsewhere. Dad had multiple bypass surgery in 2011... his heart was his weakest organ.
Mom's story: In 2019, Mom was formally diagnosed with dementia. Yes, one source of that dementia is what is commonly called "chemo-brain." Yes, she has been identified as having Alzheimer's. But - perhaps most importantly - is that we finally have confirmed that she has had mini-strokes. It was the mini-strokes that required her to receive occupationaly therapy to learn to write again, speech therapy to learn to speak more clearly, and when we were able to more clearly see the results of her putting Dad's health above her own.
Please help me reach my lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
