My life changed on Saturday, July 14. It started like any other Saturday. I kissed my wife before she went to work and decided to go for a quick run before taking the kids to the Lucas County Fair. I woke up 5 days later in the hospital. I later learned that my neighbors saw me after my run. I was acting strange & suddenly collapsed. Thankfully my neighbors knew how to do CPR. My entire street pulled together to save my life, watch my kids, and notify my wife. I sustained a cardiac arrest. With CPR and defibrillation I was given another chance at life. After being intubated and stabilized in the ICU they found I had multi-vessel coronary disease. I had 3 cardiac stents placed. With time, love & support from family & friends, God's grace, and cardiac rehab I can kiss my wife, go camping with my kids and celebrate the beauty of life!
