Phoebe was born November 10, 2009 with a Congenital Heart Defect - a variation of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has endured three open heart surgeries at seven days, four months, and 18 months of age in addition to several hospitalizations, procedures, tests, pokes and more doctor appointments than we care to count. But each of those is a step in her journey...each life-giving, each life-sustaining and necessary for her survival. Today Phoebe is a vivacious 14 year old who teaches us every day to count our blessings and live each moment to the fullest. Her smile is infectious; her courage inspiring.
