My grandfather underwent a triple bypass heart surgery a few years ago.  It was a scary time for me and my family, we were unsure if he was going to make it.  But thanks to research and medical advancements that the American Heart Association funds and supports, my grandfather was able to get the treatment he needed and become heart healthy again.  He was able to attend my college graduation and he continues to travel the world.  The AHA helps fund lifesaving heart health research and their efforts affect us all.
