Everyone has known someone affected by heart disease. This year I'm walking in honor of my father, stepfather and eldest sister. My stepfather passed away while awaiting a heart transplant. My sister passed away in 2022 from heart related issues. Eleven years ago, my dad suffered a heart attack and by God's grace he is alive and well.
Since 2010, my family and I have been participating as it is something we look forward to every year. We walk because we know that with every step, along with million other Heart Walk Heroes, we are making a difference in someone's life as well as we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke.
