Sadly, there is an extra emphasis on our team's effort this year. My sister Jude, our bright light and a wonderful spouse, Mom, Grandmother, sibling, and friend to many, passed away in late 2024 from heart failure. She was a 25 plus year survivor and we thank God for that blessing of time and the memories that we will forever cherish. Jude loved her family and strove to help others every day. Also, In 2023, my spouse Rhonda survived a stroke (and then breast cancer in 2024) and continues to work towards a full recovery. She is strong! Supporting the AHA is and will continue to be an opportunity for our family and friends to give back to this great organization in order to help others with their own heart related needs. We are SOUL thankful. That is our WHY!! This walk is for a great cause and one that we have been proud to be involved in and support for 24 years.
