As the director of the Missouri Baptist Heart Center, my story also includes every person who puts their care in the skilled hands and compassionate hearts of our physicians and nurses. When I think about the value of education and awareness, it takes me back to a night two years ago when a taxi driver named Boris ran into our emergency room. He had recognized his passenger was in distress with a possible heart attack, but rather than pulling over to call 911 and wait, he turned on his emergency flashing lights, hit the gas and drove the few miles straight to Missouri Baptist. Undoubtedly, Boris’ awareness and quick thinking saved a life.
That’s why I walk.
Thank you in advance for your support!
