This personally affected me when I lost my dad in 1989, when he was just 53. He had a heart attack, and unfortunately our family lost him a week later after his double bypass surgery. That was 30 years ago, and thanks to the American Heart Association, we’ve come a long way since then.
The reason why I raise money is so that others will benefit from the educational and development programs AHA provides. Personally, I take part in their programs to keep me on track for my own heart and overall health, despite the challenges that life brings. The heart walk is fun and something I look forward to doing each year!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
