Saving and improving lives can be as simple as taking a walk. And I know I'm making a difference in my life and others' lives by participating in the 2022 Heart Walk.
Maybe like me, you never thought you would be using the word "survivor" when talking about your heart. Then Covid hit. Two severe infections resulted in non-genetic heart damage: thickened heart muscle, irregular rhythm, and a damaged valve. All of which impact my ability to participate in what used to be normal day-to-day activities. Especially playing with my little granddaughter!
It's not just my efforts that will make a difference for all of us affected by heart disease. I am walking with my work family from Kent State University at Stark because together, we will have an even greater impact. Like so many things in life, it takes a village.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research and help your family, neighbors, friends, and colleagues (and grandchildren!) enjoy longer, healthier lives. Thank you for that.
Every dollar counts and every step is important.
Have a heart and help us reach our goal today!
