This will be my 5th year participating in the Twin Cities Heart Walk. My incentive to participate in this walk is three-fold.
1 - I walk with family members in memory of Woody Mueller, who passed away in 2021 after surviving 2 strokes. We use the walk as a time to remember and share stories about Woody's impact on our lives, and to celebrate the family that we have become because of him. We all miss you, Woody.
2 - I walk in celebration that my heart is in good shape even after right-sided heart failure in 2018 from the stress of a pulmonary embolism.
3 - I walk for those who will encounter heart disease and stroke in the future, in the hope that the money I raise will contribute to the prevention or recovery of their disease.
Whatever your reasons, thank you for contributing to my fundraising efforts.
