I am walking this year in honor of my beloved cousin Chris Kennedy, who passed away unexpectedly in 2022 from a heart condition. I also am walking because participating last year motivated me to get a heart scan, and I found out that I have have a cogential heart defect. Learning that allowed me to get connected with care to prevent and treat any complications from the condition. I would like to spread awareness of the importance of heart health and encourage others to talk to their doctor if anything ever seems concerning or you notice any symptoms.
This year, as we celebrate the Centennial of the American Heart Association, we will move health and well-being forward in important and critical ways. This relentless pursuit will continue until heart disease and stroke no longer exist.
I sincerely appreciate any support to help me meet my goal and raise funds for the AHA.
