I walk first and foremost as a survivor. The American Heart Association means a lot to us survivors. Second, I walk for my aunt and uncle who we lost way too soon in life to heart disease. Thirdly, I walk for my patients. Working in cardiac rehab has taught me I'm never alone and that it takes a village to support each other. So I'm walking for all. Also, for the future of what cardiac care can be. The strives that can be made to make the next generations journey even easier.
