I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives. My son's father had his first heart attack at the age of 40 and another the following year. He was a boxer at a very early age and has always been health conscious, but you can't help the family you're born into.
We have since learned that other members of his family have gone through this same thing at a young age. So that is another reason that I walk. To bring awareness to this disease and show the faces of a survivor's family that may not be in the age bracket most people our age would think it could happen to. I surely didn't!
