On July 20, 2023, while at home, I suffered a STEMI heart attack. Not knowing what was happening, my wife and I drove to the hospital (HUGE mistake). Enroute I began having chest pains and immediately knew. If not for my very calm wife and the doctors, nurses, techs and staff at Dublin Methodist Hospital, I would not be here today. I am now the "proud" owner of five coronary stents and could not be more grateful. My cardiologist that fateful day reminded me, as he was opening up my blocked arteries, that my phone was quite capable of dialing 911!
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
