I’m carrying the torch! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
A few years ago, in rather dramatic fashion, I learned that my brain thought it was "okay" to tell my heart to slow down quickly after I was working out, or even more exciting, to stop beating altogether. Ultimately, I was fitted with a pacemaker that ensures that when my brain sends the wrong signals, my heart will keep on beating at the proper speed (pace). This has worked out great and I continue to run, bike, and work out without fear of having an adverse situation. I am thankful for the technology that I carry around daily and for all the folks who provided me care before, during, and after my pacemaker installation. Being able to run in the annual Heart Mini is pretty special to me and I hope you will join my family and I this year!
Thank you in advance for your support!
