Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
The fight against heart disease and stroke is important to me, which is why I walk in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. Will you support my efforts to fight the nation's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke?
My Dad survived his first heart attack and triple bypass over 25 years ago and today can hold his twin great-grandsons and his other 7 great-grandkids. He is 97 now and still going strong, though his short-term memory suffers. My Mom wasn't so lucky. Her heart disease was misdiagnosed for over 2 years. When they finally attempted a heart catheter in 2003, she died on the operating table. In 2018 at 69, my brother survived heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurism. At 50, my sister had a stroke! With a lot of hard work, she recovered. It's for my FAMILY and friends that I walk, but also for millions who have been affected and for their loved ones.
I Heartwalk for people like you and me who want to help make our community a healthier, more active place. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone. Why? … Life, a better life for all is why!
Thank you in advance for your support!
