Will you join me for the 2020 Heart Walk in Grand Rapids?
I still believe that this work is making a difference. I'm walking for my uncles Paul, Gord, John, Bob and cousin David who all left us too soon. I wish more of their grandkids/kids had a chance at having a relationship with them.
I celebrate that Uncle Perc has recovered from his cardiac event. What a miracle to see him healthy after having a sudden cardiac arrest. The technology that was used to keep him alive was amazing! Research keeps advancing for the betterment of everyone.
I'm going to do this again in honor of Grandma and Grandpa above. Grandpa died from congestive heart failure we didn't know he had. I was with Grandma when she had her stroke and I called Mom because Grandma didn't recognize me. Mom knew right away it was a stroke. Since working here I certainly know the difference now!
I've met so many awesome people while working for the AHA in Michigan. Jacque and Susie. Jackie O. (not the former first lady, but the t-PA survivor) David B., KC, Georgia, Carrie, Amy, Erica, Spencer, Owen, Nicole, Ernie, Caleb, Connie, Jim, Dick, Devon, Dianne, Anna, Jen, Spencer, Hope, Esther, Kathy, Stephanie, Paulette, Cooper and many others. You know who you are!
Wouldn't it be nice if AHA research could find more of the answers to this puzzle?
I tell you what, a couple of quick and easy donations can add up quickly! And we put your name in a nice scrolling box if you wish. Personally, I'm hoping my donations fund some project on genes and early sudden cardiac arrest.
Click on the link and you will be taken to my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. The American Heart Association's online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you prefer to donate less, you can do so by sending a check directly to me. You would honor me by doing so.
You are making a difference. I'd love for you to join us at the event in September at Millennium Park!
