Family is Why I Walk!
Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I'm walking because stroke and heart disease have touched my family in very personal ways. My mother died of a stroke at age 48 (way too young) and my mother-in-law had a stroke 11 years ago that left her in need of assistive care and required selling the family home. Both my father and father-in-law suffered heart attacks in their later years.
Even when people survive strokes and heart attacks, their quality of life is often profoundly affected, which, in turn, affects their families.
My participation in the Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. The American Heart Association is working hard to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020. Please help us reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
