I walk because Heart Disease and Stroke literally rocked my world! My oldest child was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which simply put, left them with only half-a-heart. They have endured three open heart surgeries, countless procedures, and overcome a stroke. My three year old was also born with an ASD (a tiny hole that didn’t close at birth). Although she has not had any complications, thankfully.
