We’re walking for our health and yours. For our parents, our children and our grandchildren. Who will you walk for?

For me personally (Brent) I am walking in memory of my Dad.   As a child, my Dad had rheumatic fever which created a heart murmur in his mitral valve.  At age 77, and after living his life with this condition and declining heath, he finally got help.  Following a mitral valve replacement, maze procedure, double bypass, and a Medtronic Pacemaker he was as good as new.  Thanks to organizations like the AHA that advance heart research and understanding my Dad lived another 15 years.   

The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy and inspiration. People unified in support of a single goal: to see a world free of heart disease and stroke.
