FirePro Sprinkler Specialists, Inc. is a fire protection sprinkler company serving the commercial industry in northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin.

On February 18th, 2022, Dusty Melin, one of FirePro's founders and President passed away unexpectedly from a rare heart condition. Dusty’s passing was a great loss personally to all of us.

Dusty was a good man with a kind heart. He was more than just a business owner, but also a devoted husband and loving father. We walk to celebrate him and his life and honor the legacy he helped to build at FirePro.

Dusty will be remembered as the consummate builder, whether it was developments with his dad and brother when he was younger, or after he married, building houses with his wife and children, and recently the building of his incredibly successful business. As one client said, “If you weren’t in business with Dusty, you wished you were.” He built wonderful, close relationships with family and lifelong friends, coworkers, and clients. Dusty’s greatest achievement is the family he built; he taught his children how hard work would build their own dreams, and that’s how they will live out his legacy. Although Dusty’s life ended too soon, he achieved more than many could even dream of. He loved this life that he built.
