On April 27, 2025, we lost Scott Gerard Motz—suddenly, unexpectedly, and far too soon. At just 58, Scott passed away from a heart attack, leaving behind his beloved wife Stacie, daughters Ashley and Magdalen, and a wide circle of family, friends, coworkers, and community members who loved him deeply.
Scott wasn’t just the life of the room—he was the heart of it. A proud husband, devoted “girl dad,” successful business owner, and community-minded soul, Scott lived fully and gave generously. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines, working with his hands, or showing up for the people he loved, he made it clear that family, connection, and purpose mattered most.
We’re walking in Scott’s memory not only to honor the incredible man he was, but also to raise awareness about heart disease and the devastating impact it can have on families.
We are walking in the American Heart Association Heart Walk to honor Scott’s legacy and to support Ashley and her family as they navigate the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything. This walk is one way we can stand beside Ashley and her family—and help prevent another family from going through what they are now. Too many lives are changed in an instant by something silent and unseen.
This walk is for Scott and to honor his legacy.
