I'm walking in the September 19th American Heart Association Heart Walk in commemoration of my grandfather's heart struggles. He experienced a heart attack in the 1950's when he was only in his forties. Forty years later, he underwent bypass and aorta surgery to extend his time with us before eventually passing from a stroke. As science and medicine have thankfully progressed since his heart attack, we all have the opportunity to make a significant difference in our own heart health.
