We walk for our girl Ava Jane because she is a heart warrior!

When Ava was born she had no known heart defects, but at 2 months old her PCP noticed a heart murmur. She was referred to a cardiologist & was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White sydrome. Which put her at risk for frequent tachycardia & a valve leakage.  

Ava was monitored from then on, but at 6 years old she needed to have her first heart surgery. She went thru a 7 hour procedure for a heart cath & ablation to eliminate an extra electrical pathway. She was released after surgery, but then started having complications. Ava had internal bleeding from both arteries. She had to be transported to Houston via med-flight to undergo an emergency surgery to save her life. 

Now, 3 month later & she is finally back to her spunky self! She is the strongest little girl. Her parents & family are so proud of her bravery.  We walk for her heart story.
