I am walking again in memory of my dad who struggled with heart disease for over 30 years. He suffered his first heart attack at 55, had numerous bi-pass surgeries later and more procedures to keep his heart ticking. But the best part was he was there to walk me down the aisle at my wedding and see me marry the one he knew would take care of me after he was gone. Three months later he passed away. Heart disease hits males and females and it's so important to keep research and funding going. I look forward to walking again this year in his honor.
I will also be walking for my donors and the loved ones they know who have suffered from heart disease.
